THE HEROIC ACT OF CHARITY is a very effective practice for helping the souls in purgatory. It consists in offering to divine Justice, in favor of the deceased, all the merits and indulgences that we can earn throughout our lives, and all the suffrages that could be given to us after death. To pay our debts, we reserve ourselves for the mercy of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and Mary.
PRAYER
Heavenly Father, in union with the merits of the Most Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary, I offer you, for the souls in purgatory, all the works of satisfaction that I will be able to do and all the indulgences that I will be able to earn throughout my life and all my works, which will be offered for me after my death.
I place all these works in the most pure hands of the Immaculate Virgin Mary, so that she applies them to the souls that, in her maternal wisdom and goodness, she wants to be the first to free from the flames of purgatory.
Deign, oh my God, to accept this offer and let me grow every day in your grace and in the love of the Heart of Jesus as a reward for this act.
